Clear, Transparent, Penetrating Waterproof Coating for Outdoor Surfaces

MasonryDefender All Purpose Concrete, Brick & Stone Sealant is a high-performance, penetrating silane/siloxane blended water repellent that provides long-lasting water repellency on concrete and masonry surfaces. This water-based product is a breathable, non-film forming, concrete sealer exterior water repellent that will not alter surface color or appearance. It protects most vertical and horizontal, exterior, above-grade concrete surfaces, including residential driveways, patios, sidewalks, brick walls, stone walls, concrete walls, chimneys, or any other bare masonry or concrete surfaces.

The product can be used on a variety of masonry or concrete surfaces, such as concrete, brick, stone, cultured stone, sandstone, limestone, and granite, without affecting the natural substrate color and surface textures. Slight darkening may occur on dense surfaces, so testing is recommended before treating any surface to ensure the desired results.

This concrete sealer is designed to protect and waterproof concrete and masonry surfaces once they have been properly cleaned with MasonryDefender All Purpose Masonry & Concrete Cleaner. It can cover a range from 90-150 sq. ft. per gallon, depending on surface porosity. Before applying, the surface must be completely clean and allowed to dry for at least 6 hours. The product is available in both 1-gallon and 2.5-gallon containers, with the 2.5-gallon containers being easier to lift and pour compared to heavy 5-gallon containers.

The MasonryDefender All Purpose Concrete, Brick & Stone Sealer is not just for concrete; it can be used as an all-purpose water repellent and sealer for any bare masonry, concrete, or natural stone surface. It protects against cracking and pitting caused by moisture that seeps into the concrete over time, and it also has a salt guard that protects against de-icing salts and chemicals. After application, water will bead instead of seeping into the surface, causing damage. Once cured, the treated surfaces will dry much sooner than untreated areas, as water is unable to penetrate the concrete or masonry.

To apply the sealer, make sure the surface temperature is between 40°F and 100°F for three hours following application. Use a low-pressure pump-up garden sprayer to apply a thin, even layer, starting at the bottom and working your way up for vertical surfaces, allowing the sealer to run down approximately 6 inches. Apply a second coat within a few minutes of the first. For horizontal surfaces, avoid puddling or ponding, and brush or broom the material until it thoroughly penetrates the surface. The surface will be dry in 2-6 hours, depending on temperature and humidity, and should be allowed to cure for 24 hours before driving on it.
