MasonryDefender Concrete Driveway Sealer is an architectural-grade, silane/siloxane blended product designed to provide long-lasting water repellency for concrete and masonry surfaces. This breathable, non-film forming sealer bonds with the minerals in concrete, making it ideally suited for areas where maximum protection against chloride ions (de-icing salts) is needed.

Unlike conventional sealers, MasonryDefender Concrete Driveway Sealer will not alter the natural color or appearance of the concrete. It is suitable for use on residential driveways, patios, sidewalks, and other horizontal, exterior, above-grade concrete surfaces. The product may cause a slight darkening on dense concrete, so it is recommended to test it on a small, inconspicuous area before full application to ensure the desired results.

To ensure optimal performance, the concrete surface should be properly cleaned using MasonryDefender All Purpose Masonry & Concrete Cleaner prior to applying the sealer. This step helps remove any dirt, grease, oils, efflorescence, wax, curing compounds, or other contaminants that could interfere with the sealer's penetration.

After cleaning, the MasonryDefender Concrete Driveway Sealer can be easily applied using a low-pressure pump-up garden sprayer. This application method ensures an even, thin coat that thoroughly penetrates the surface. The sealer should be allowed to remain wet for 2-3 minutes before any excess is brushed or broomed out to prevent pooling or ponding.

Once applied, the sealer will dry within 2-6 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. It is recommended to wait 24 hours before driving on the surface to allow the sealer to fully cure.
