Available in a ready-to-use or concentrated (5x) formulation, Siloxa-Tek 8500 can be used stand-alone or as a top-coat with a densifying primer for increased performance and abrasion resistance. It leaves a clear, natural, invisible finish and is applied in two wet-on-wet coats, covering up to 250 square feet per gallon per coat.

Siloxa-Tek 8500 offers excellent waterproofing, penetrating deep within the concrete to chemically react within the pores and capillaries, creating a long-lasting hydrophobic surface that beads water. It is 100% breathable and non-film forming, allowing moisture within the concrete to escape without adverse effects to the sealer, and providing ease of maintenance.

The sealer protects against chloride ion penetration, forming an effective chloride screen that dramatically reduces chloride ion ingress, preventing deicing salt and chloride damage. It also resists organic growth, such as lichen and efflorescence, and improves durability by preventing the capillary uptake of water and aggressive substances.

Siloxa-Tek 8500 is a water-based, low-VOC formula that is UV stable and will not break down with light exposure. It can be applied to cured, honed, and polished concrete, making it ideal for horizontal surfaces exposed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and is compatible with silicate densifiers.
